Stars With a Heart was created by visionary Mary Porter. While living in Puerto Vallarta, Porter became aware of the many talented performers there . She also became aware of community needs. Her vision was to create a showcase that would feature different entertainers as a benefit event for area charities. The first event raised enough money to provide food for one month for the Vallarta Food Bank.

Stars With a Heart has grown from a single benefit show in Puerto Vallarta, MX in 2023 to a series of successful fundraising events. The focus is on uniting performers and community members to make a positive difference. More than $250,000 US ($4.3 million MX) has been raised to directly support local charities. This is the first Stars With a Heart show in the US!
