Fàájì is a celebration of freedom, of breaking free from a system, forging ones own path, and living in ones truth. DAP The Contract tells the story of his journey from corporate lawyer to multi-faceted creative, and the joys and pains that come with seeking more than the status quo. A slang Yoruba term for enjoyment, Fàájì captures the essence of a 1970s Lagos function (the original fàájì), and transports the listener to the best of times, a carefree, never-ending party where everybody is on the dance floor. Fàájì is about embracing life and enjoying every moment. A nostalgic-futuristic blend of hi-life horns and modern-day afrobeat and amapiano drum elements, the single serves as a gateway to DAP's upcoming project, a blend of 20th century celebratory Nigerian highlife and fuji sounds.
