Through a courageous, nonviolent resistance, a group of activist women fight against the tides of a civil war. Led by a resolute social worker, the women of Liberia rise up against the devastation of the Second Liberian Civil War to demand peace for their country. The Fish Market is about the radical power of hope and collective strength.

About the Lead Artist
Taiwo Aloba is a storyteller and multidisciplinary artist. Her work explores indigenous identity, oral tradition, memory, colonial legacies, systemic inequity, and ritual as a form of resistance.
