Cover Letter
In your cover letter, please indicate which fellowship(s) you are interested in, your regular availability on weekdays, evenings, and weekends, and whether you have any conflicts that will make you unavailable for a week or more during the fellowship period. Please also address the following questions:
Why are you interested in this fellowship program? What do you hope to gain from this experience? Why is this the right time for this fellowship in your artistic and/or professional journey? What interests you about working at The Center at West Park?
What experiences have prepared you for this fellowship? What have you done, learned, studied, and/or experienced that has prepared you for this fellowship?
What are you passionate about? Tell us what about music, dance, theater, film, and/or visual art excites and inspires you. We would love to hear a brief story that illustrates what the arts mean to you and why.
Work Sample
The work sample should demonstrate your best work in an area closely related to the fellowship for which you are applying. It can be text (max two pages), video or audio (max 5 minutes), images (max 5), or a website (one specific page). If your work sample is longer than the maximum, please indicate which part of the text/video/audio/image collection/website you want us to focus on. You may provide a sample other than the suggestions below, but it should be applicable to the fellowship. Some suggestions are:
Arts Management: budget you created for a project, strategic plan you wrote, documentation of a successful project you led
Development: fundraising event invitation you designed, fundraising letter you wrote, crowdfunding video you made
Outreach: marketing materials you designed, materials you created for an outreach initiative
